New
Rising Star Music Ministry
Our purpose is to be an example,
through music, to the church body, of true praise and worshippers.
With uplifting songs of praise and worship, we come as an aid to the
people of God in entering into, or continuing, a mindset and
atmosphere of praise and worship through music.
We come
prayerfully to services prepared to exalt the name of the Lord Jesus
Christ through singing, dancing, playing of instruments, etc. God
desires that His people be eager to know Him intimately, and
experience all of who He is. We, as a ministry, desire to minister
through music, dance, playing of instruments, etc, to God, to the
people and to ourselves, and be a vessel, a conduit, for the Holy
Spirit to flow and operate in and through.
The bible tells us that God is
seeking a people who will worship Him in spirit and in truth
(John 4:23). And so, we seek to be such a people. This requires
from us, as musicians, singers, dancers, and all servants of God,
personal time, as well as corporate time, spent with God through
Word, Prayer, Praise, and Worship. Word,
prayer, praise, and worship are to the spirit what food, water, air,
and shelter are to the body, a necessity. Know now that everything
we need can be found in praising, worshipping, praying, and staying
in God’s word.
We believe that through our true
acts of praise and worship, an atmosphere is set for the Holy Spirit
to move freely throughout the congregation. And so we come, as a
ministry, not to use this opportunity as an entertainment platform
for others to admire our abilities, talents, and gifts. But, to
exercise and offer the abilities, talents, and gifts that God has
given us, to aid in the worship experience, of the people, to God.
We come to “enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his
courts with praise" (Psalms 100:4). Our very desire is to offer the
Lord our sacrifices of praise and worship. So, when we all come
together collectively as a ministry: be it rehearsals, Sunday and
Wednesday services, or other special services, we give God all the
praise due Him. With much excitement, enthusiasm, zeal and
anointing, we serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence
with singing (Psalms 100:2). We worship in, “SPIRIT AND IN
TRUTH!”
